1. Change to alternative wired connections 2. Request more government/scientific research on EMF’s potential side-effects 3. Check for high emissions sources or leaks at Home/Business 4. Use cell phone in hands-free mode only 5. Avoid high bandwidth transmissions such as wireless (movies, videos, downloads) |

What is Electromagnetic Radiation? Electromagnetic (EM) radiation is a form of energy that is all around us and takes many forms, such as radio waves, microwaves, X-rays and gamma rays. Is it Safe? The electromagnetic spectrum can be generally broken down into two parts: ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation. In general, all ionizing radiation, even at low levels, can be dangerous, whereas non-ionizing radiation is usually safe except at very high levels. Excessive or intense exposure to any type can be harmful however. Should you Worry? Although no research to-date has definitively linked specific diseases, such as cancer, to non-ionizing EMR, and most scientist insist the power output from |
devices such as laptops, cellphones, routers etc. is too low to cause harm, it is highly unlikely that any studies were done that took into consideration the hundreds of wireless signals from ever increasingly powerful gadgets that reach each of us 24hours/day especially in densely populated areas; moreover since many of these devices and signals started being used only in the last 10-15 years there is no long-term data available to rely on. How to Protect For some type radiation you simply don’t have may options (except moving to a far |

Bioprotectors |
What are they?: Bioprotectors are small copper/resin discs that claim to protect you against EMF. Are they effective?: Much like talismans, good luck charms etc. there is no real scientific proof of their effectiveness. |
away unpopulated forest) for others it can be quite inconvenient to stop using the devices you rely on so much; still there are several things you can start doing now that will make a difference in your exposure to EM (read below) and Recommendations Table
